Controls Engineering Manager - Willoughby, Ohio - JOB 24-00400 Salary Range: $100K - $130K Permanent Position with Benefits. A Willoughby, Ohio Company is seeking a Controls Engineering Manager. The Controls Engineering Manager must have a strong fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design and its application in automated industrial designs. Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar related degree) • Must have five (5) years' minimum experience with motion controls components, controls, machinery, and factory automation equipment. • Must have three (3) years' minimum experience in a Supervisory role. • Must have knowledge of proper control enclosure assembly standards (US and Europe) • Experience creating electrical drawing/schematics (E-plan, AutoCAD, etc.) • Knowledge with PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, B&R) • Experience/Knowledge with Servo motor and drive sizing capabilities. • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite • Preferred programming knowledge (B&R, Rockwell, Siemens, Bosch) • Must be highly organized. • Must have exceptional problem-solving skills. • Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) • Must have good multitasking skills and be able to meet tight deadlines. • Must be willing to travel up to 25%. Key Responsibilities: • Interpret mechanical design drawings for electrical requirements. • Help establish new and maintain existing company standards. • Create standard operating procedures to achieve efficient processes relating to testing. • product, customer support, internal processes, etc. • Configure hardware and software for electrical systems per customer specification and orders. • Setup completed using Rockwell Software: Studio 5000, Drive Executive, FactoryTalk View, ME, and CCW; Weiss WAS2 software also used for system configuration. • Project work consisting of panel design, build and programming. • Provide high quality pre-sales, design-in and post-sales technical support to customers. • Oversee interactions with customers regarding technical support using phone and emails. • Provide and manage on-site machine start-ups and field service for installed base troubleshooting. • Plan, organize, and direct the controls department. • Participate in the project management process as manager of the department.
