Our bar has been closed for about 2 years now and we are looking for an experienced bartender to get it all started again. In this position, you are the leader of your own kingdom, the Manhattan Lounge Bar, located on the ground floor of the hotel.

This opportunity is located only 5 minutes walking distance from station Amsterdam Zuid, at the Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South.

Your day to day

• You are responsible for the day to day bar operations. Your mission is to create a vibrant and fun place to hang out for our hotel guests and local community.

• You report directly to the F&B Manager Pim Doeve, and coordinate with him what is needed for the bar

• You make sure the bar is ready to welcome guests

• You manage the orders of guests, prepare the drinks and coordinate with the kitchen for food

• You engage with the customers and ensure they are having a good time.

• You are responsible for the quality of service and make sure customers and guests are looking forward to come back soon.

Who you are

You like to pour drinks and know how to run a bar but most importantly, you are a people person.

• Experience within running a bar is preferred

• You are fluent in speaking and understanding English, Dutch is not mandatory but appreciated.

• You know and love to create cocktails, you are curious to discover new recipes

• You love to be the host and creating memorable experiences for our customers and guests

• You are comfortable to build true and meaningful connections

• You are autonomous but also know how to work in a team

• You have a creative mind-set and look forward to make the bar a key feature of the hotel for guests and the local community

• You take proud in loyal customers who come back for your drinks and company.

Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South is located in the bubbly Zuidas area, just a 5-minute walk from station Amsterdam Zuid which connects you to the city centre within 10 minutes. Easy to reach, the area previously known as the financial district of Amsterdam is becoming more and more residential, with great bars, restaurants, shops and a Thursday market.
