Research Intern - Fall 2024

Are you interested in improving information flow in a specialized corporate environment? Are you skilled in conducting research and analysis and communicating your findings? Are you able to transform technical complexities into plain language?

This is a hybrid position located in Toronto.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

What the day will look like

You will be working with Aon’s Knowledge and Legal group to evaluate current and implement new knowledge sharing tools used to support our national team of health and wellbeing advisors. Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working in a SharePoint environment, assist with site content management;

  • Collaborating with the Aon Knowledge and Legal team, analyze current tools and make suggestions to modernize communication strategy and optimize usability;

  • Identifying requirements through research and analysis of user needs, preferences, objectives, and data available on how users consume content;

  • Assisting in planning information structure, data flow, and navigation for new site;

  • Assisting in the development of survey questionnaires, data analysis and presentation;

  • Reviewing options for taxonomy and email content storage along with data management and search engine tool using existing MS Office tools (Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote, etc.).

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Students c urrently pursuing a Bachelor's or a Master's degree

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills;

  • Knowledge of content management concepts;

  • Knowledge of communications concepts;

  • Interest in controlled vocabularies, classification, data mapping, taxonomies, and process improvement;

  • Experience with survey data collection and data analyisi; ;

  • Proven understanding of user experience and knowledge organization principles;

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.
