The Claims Specialist II will document and investigate cargo claims as filed by an Uber Freight customer and subsequently filed with the Transportation Service Provider (TSP) who hauled the customer\'s freight.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Coordinate the Cargo Claims Process
• Record and scan claims notifications in myEZclaim
• Communicate acknowledgement and claims progress with operations personnel and customer
• Email cargo claims notification with TSP
• Scan all correspondence between customers, Uber Freight and TSP regarding individual cargo claims
• Maintain system updates-TSP Database, Mainframe
• Work closely with the Legal and Risk department, as well as the external customer to ensure compliance with regards to TSP contracts and customer contracts
• Work closely with Accounting department to ensure that Uber Freight meets the TSP financial obligations with regards to claims
• Build and maintain a solid foundation and understanding of transportation fundamentals and communicate that knowledge to their peer group and employees

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-2 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate\'s degree or equivalent
• Previous office experience in the transportation industry
