Responsibilities

Perform general diagnostic radiographic examinations under the orders of a physician.

• Assist with x-ray and basic machine operation ensuring exams are technically satisfactory, properly positioned and processed adequately.

• Prepare patients for radiologic examinations and procedures protecting patient, self and other staff from radiation hazards.

• Take x-rays as requested by physician by selecting the proper ionizing factors, adjusting radiographic controls and positioning patients.

• Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Machine Operator credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,if applicable.
