Position Title and Description: Silk Screen Machine Operator (Newark, NJ) - Full Time Set up and operate digital, letterpress, lithographic, flexographic, gravure, or other printing machines for our printing services company. Start presses and pull proofs to check for ink coverage and density, alignment, and registration. Examine job orders to determine quantities to be printed, stock specifications, colors, or special printing instructions. Verify that paper or other materials and ink meet the specifications for a given job. Collect and inspect random samples during print runs to identify any necessary adjustments. Work with Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to create printing artwork. Work with Konica 3070 special copier to create film on transparent paper. Work with Vastex screen exposure system. In charge of setting up the machines and the templates to produce the final product. Position Requirements: No education required. Must have 12 months of previous experience in job offered or as Press Operator, Printing Pres Operator, Pressman or closely related.
