Rexnord Material Planner I in Morehead, Kentucky

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

Performs the more diversified and involved duties having to do with the breakdown of manufacturing schedules to program factory production. Issues work orders to manufacturing departments in conformance with release dates, machine load schedule, material availability, etc. Maintains check on material inventory, critical and special items, subcontract work, order process or other factors pertinent to production to maintain an uninterrupted flow of work, assurance of shipping commitments, etc. Prepares and issues supplementary orders on order changes, cancellations, or rush items. Manages daily/weekly/monthly build schedule to ensure customer Requests Kept (RK)/Promises Kept (PK) is met.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Review daily Past Due Backlog to identify issues such as dating issues, expediting components with commodity planner, and work with operations team to align production to meet business goals.
  • Review weekly Inventory Dashboard report on assigned product lines to identify the issue with sku's that are below the 95% safety stock and address to recover.
  • Daily scheduling activities, including but not limited to; releasing work orders, updating load sheet, prioritizing machine load, and monitoring aging released orders and balances
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive and expedite planned builds. Identifies alternate solutions to meet customer RK/PK. Reports and escalates potential and existing late customer deliveries.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate status, key metrics, and performance indicators to management and stakeholders
  • Develop skill set across all product offerings to support backup of peers and Material Planner II
  • Support continuous improvement activities related to Ultriva LMS in support of paperless factory initiative

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • Preferred secondary education degree
  • Previous planning and scheduling experience in industrial sector preferred
  • Motivated and self-directed to spear head ownership of key aspects within the department
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify critical paths, analyze complex data, and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and people skills to effectively collaborate and coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in maintaining and updating production schedules
  • Proficient In Microsoft Office, Oracle/MRP Systems
