The Role

The Operations Technician II, should have a strong understanding of Transmission (DS1/DS3/SONET) and TCP/IP (routers/higher-layer protocols).

Performs tasks associated with the maintenance and installation of company network service customers. The Operations Technician II must interact successfully with internal departments to remove roadblocks and resolve issues on the behalf of all customers and escalate appropriately.

The candidate should have understanding of telecommunications, the Operations Technician II will be responsible for troubleshooting, managing and correcting customer service issues.

This role is a Hybrid position. Team members are required come in at least one day per week, however that is at the discretion of the manager and the business unit. You may be asked/required to come into the office for trainings, meetings, and other significant functions. Office locations are in Florida, Georgia, or Louisiana.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Associate degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.

  • Minimum 5+ yrs related experience in specific area or equivalent.

  • May require technical certification.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Technician for customer/company network systems installation and/or maintenance activities.

  • Resolves complex network problems involving power, network hardware and software, lines, modems and terminals.

  • Uses software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network status and problems; conducts complex network monitoring equipment installation and maintenance activities; resolves complex trouble tickets.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
