Boston Scientific Senior Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor in Maple Grove, Minnesota

About the role: Our team in Maple Grove, MN is searching for a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to join their team. This supervisor be responsible for supervising, leading, and providing technical direction to a group of technicians within a manufacturing environment. He/she/they will be responsible for ensuring proper support for manufacturing processes including: staffing levels, proper escalation of issues, and mentorship through challenges. This role will have direct responsibility for our technician team along with mentorship for the engineering staff. Your responsibilities will include: Provides guidance and training to staff, developing their team to attain career goals, motivating individuals to achieve results, and recruiting and maintaining a high quality staff. Works with manager to establish department goals, objectives, and budgets. Assists manager to plan resource needs and hiring for department. Prioritizes and manages execution of multiple projects. Successfully completes manufacturing engineering project work on Value Improvement Process (VIP), Strategic Activity Review (STAR) projects, or new product development. Maintains and enhances cross-functional team relationships. Works cross-functionally in identifying and resolving production/engineering issues. Ensures policies and processes are followed. Represents manufacturing engineering in new product development teams. Required qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related discipline 3+ years of manufacturing, or related, experience Strong understanding of manufacturing problem solving and process improvement tools (i.e. DMAIC) and production flow tools (i.e. LEAN manufacturing) Ability to communicate effectively by analyzing, summarizing, and presenting ideas concisely via visual communication methods(i.e. tables, graphs, Excel, Minitab, and PowerPoint) Preferred qualifications: Experience in the medical device industry Experience leading technical teams (technicians) Experience with ERP systems and part costing Proven ability to lead without authority Requisition ID:581228 Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substancetesting requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
