Role activities:

Packaging Research and Development aims to guarantee a flawless package design and execution with thoroughness, accountable for ensuring the Package expose at shelves is true to the design intend.

As a Packaging R&D Senior Manager it is expected the person to be able to:

  • Apply technical rigor and principles of the Packaging work process in the package design and delivery.

  • Connect proactively and actively with parallel functions (Product development, Product researchers, Process & Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to early engage them in technical requirements and proposed test.

  • Create robust Learnings plans in order to identify the technical challenges that the package design will face through out the project and ensure that questions are answered with enough time to take actions.

  • Identify risks, probability and impact on the project evolution, and propose recommendations on how to move forward based on solid data.

  • Integrate concepts, starting with Consumer preferences and must-have, Packaging Jobs to be done, including process/package interaction as well as supply chain monitoring to understand impact on end package design

  • Leverage data to continuously learn, build models that allow to predict on similar or equivalent situations.

  • In a very dynamic scenario, the Packaging R&D Manager must also behave on behalf of the organization health and growth. Including soft skills (in touch, listener, integrator, respectful, approachable, humble teacher and learner) as well as emotional intelligence to adapt the course when needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Precious experience in Packaging area

  • Previous experience as a manager of others

  • Complete Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

  • Availability to work in Louveira/SP at least 3 times a week

  • Advanced English

  • Open to learn Spanish and travel as needed
