JOB PURPOSE

As the Consultant, Regulatory Operations, you will be joining the OTC Derivatives team within Capital Markets and Wealth Management Operations. You will provide oversight on the operational controls surrounding Capital Markets Regulatory Trade Reporting. You will participate in control executions and project activities with emphasis on defining new required controls to ensure compliance with multiple regulatory jurisdictions. You will work with stakeholders to develop a product vision that satisfies requirements. You will present to business partners and executives on the quality of our regulatory performance. You will apply advanced analytical skills to analyse data from multiple external and internal data sources to identify potential gaps in reporting. You will combine and analyse data from multiple external and internal data sources to identify potential gaps in reporting and select appropriate BI tool(s) and features to meet user needs. You are confident, thorough and have the ability to use good judgment when making decisions involving a high degree of attention to detail.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Transaction & Trade Reporting Experience - 2 to 3 years of Regulatory Trade and Transaction Reporting experience covering one or more of the following: UK / EU – SFTR, MIFID II, EMIR

  • Ability to analyse transaction reporting data from trade repositories to respond to internal and external stakeholders’ requests if required.

  • Manage Trade and Transaction Reporting Operations control activities including: Data Reconciliation, initial break investigation, exception management, query monitoring and resolution

  • Perform back reporting of impacted trade and transaction reporting activities post resolution

  • Actively assist in third party accuracy testing review, which will require analysis of their findings, evaluate results and provide resolution where required. Helped with Kaizen engagement would be useful, but not mandatory.

  • Comfortable reporting generation and submission for non-STP trades, transactions and position reporting in accordance with internal daily/weekly and monthly reporting deadlines across EMEA

  • Extensive Debt, Equity and OTC Derivative Products Knowledge/Experience - Working knowledge of the structure of debt, equity and derivatives transactions such as swaps, forwards, options etc. from both a theoretical and practical viewpoint as well as the basic finance principles that underlie them.

  • Analytical Skills – 2+ years background in analytics leveraging state-of-the-art tools. Demonstrate a deep understanding of database structures (relational, hierarchical, distributed) and associated platforms. Ability to use effective communication skills necessary to interpret and convey data that is often very technical.

  • Comfortable working with data tools, investigating large data sets and collaborating across different time zones

  • You have effective communication skills required to convey complex messages to business partners and executives. Understand that collaboration can transform a good idea into a great one.

  • Attention To Details - You are meticulous and thorough in your work, especially when dealing with large and complex data sets. You understand the importance of accuracy and quality control. You are able to identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies in the data, and take pride in delivering reliable and error-free results.

  • Project Management - Remain project oriented with the ability to multi-task multiple priorities.

  • Understand that collaboration can transform a good idea into a great one.

  • Subject Matter Expert - Demonstrate awareness of Regulatory Reporting obligations and act as a subject matter expert explaining the purpose and necessity of regulations, policies, and guidelines.

  • Create standards for capturing control deficiencies that quantify impact, create paths for escalation, and track until full resolution.
