JPMorgan Chase Associate Product Owner Syndicated Loan Markets in Jersey City, New Jersey

Join the team to have seamless systems integrations, reducing settlement times, increasing liquidity, increasing efficiency and reducing risk in the Syndicated Loan markets. .

As a Associate Product Owner in Wholesale Lending Services, you will will have responsibility for delivery on strategic technology and process improvement initiatives in the Loan Trading space, as well as leading product support across multiple loan trading applications. This product space is experiencing significant growth in an area where JPMorgan has been the leader in this space for more than a decade.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Technology and Business groups to create innovative solutions to modernize our technology platform and drive operational efficiencies to maintain our position as a leader in the loan market.

  • Lead product support for multiple loan trading applications, including issue tracking, user and stakeholder communications, and release planning and prioritization.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Syndicated Loan Trading workflow system and related business functions, including settlement metrics, vendor products, and internal system integrations.

  • Execute process improvement analysis, identify issues, formulate actionable opportunity recommendations, design solutions, and quantify operational benefits.

  • Take full ownership of technology product management including Design, Requirements Writing, Sprint Planning/Management and testing as needed.

  • Evaluate and leverage the latest technology available to address technology performance, automated testing capabilities, and new functionality improvements.

  • Responsible for Project Management functions including keeping all deliverables in clear and concise project plan, driving deliverables, and timely completion of milestones.

  • Partner with multiple stakeholders across business units including Sales & Trading, Operations, Technology, Business Management, Loan Syndication and Risk and Controls to deliver results in a complex environment.

  • Manage external vendor relationships, working closely to define roadmaps and enhancements to support JPMorgan's businesses.

  • Develop effective presentations & project update material suitable for stakeholders & business partners regarding overall project progress and recommendations/decisions.

  • Coordinate and lead meetings; host subgroup meetings, establish agendas, produce minutes, establish scorecards and ongoing status reports. Participate in industry working groups and provides additional support for various projects/process initiatives as needed.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial services work experience required.

  • Experience executing tasks under tight deadlines and with changing priorities; ability to multi-task and prioritize issues including managing critical path, issues, risks, and dependencies.

  • Experience working with Data Visualization Software Tableau, PowerBI, or QlikView

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, formulas, macros, charts/graphs.

  • Strong communicator in written, slide (PowerPoint) and experience in stakeholder communications, including presentation, brainstorming, and thought leadership.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Loan product and credit trading business knowledge preferred, but not required .

  • Experience working closely with technology teams, in a business analyst or product owner role at a financial service or FinTech company preferred .

  • Knowledge of loan processes and systems (Loan IQ, Flexcube, or Markit Platforms) preferred.

Work schedule

  • This hybrid role requires going into the office three days a week with two days' flexibility to work from home, subject to change
