We have an exciting opportunity for a Controls and Automation Engineer to join the team with JETS II Teammate Company, Nexus Solutions.
The Controls and Automation Engineer will:
Develop the next generation Data Acquisition, Recording and Controls system for the Crew and Thermal Systems Division
Troubleshoot and maintain existing Thermal/ Vacuum Chamber measurement and instrumentation systems
Create and upgrade HMI screens and program/modify PLCs
Integrate Data Acquisition systems into SCADA platform
Perform system checkouts, procurements, instrument calibration, testing/maintenance activities and documentation
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area.
Computer programming experience
Experience with SQL database
Understanding of electrical drawings and procedures for instrumentation systems
Experience with data acquisition systems and their application
Experience with instrument specification and calibration procedures
Proficiency using computers
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Requisition Preferences:
Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics or control engineering from an accredited engineering school with five (5) years of related engineering experience
Familiarity with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures
Expertise in SCADA systems (eg ICONICS, Ignition), SQL Server
Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and programming software
