Quiddity Project Engineer - Roadway Drainage in Houston, Texas

  • Provide project engineering with a focus on transportation projects and public transportation clients throughout the Texas Region.

  • Prepare Hydrology/Hydraulic studies, technical writing in the form of memorandums, design documents, and design plans and specifications for transportation projects.

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of stormwater conveyance systems. Knowledge with the bridge hydraulics and scour analysis is plus.

  • Assist with developing scopes of work, associated budgets, preparing final design plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.

  • Work independently as well as assist groups of medium to large teams of professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

  • 4+ years of relevant experience working on transportation-related projects, specializing in drainage design, hydrological, and hydraulic analyses.

  • EIT certification (ability to obtain PE within one year preferred).

  • Previous work experience on TxDOT projects is preferred.

  • Experience with Microstation, Openroads, Geopak Drainage, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and HY-8.

  • Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and SWMM is plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
