We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer for our Hingham, MA. facility.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer within the world’s most respected manufacturer of automatic transfer switches and power control systems you will manage inventory of components and products via picking kits, receiving internally made components, working with stock room to request vendor ordered parts. The work that you do will make the world a safer and more reliable place for our customers: think hospitals, data centers, utilities, mass transportation, and other aspects of life as we know it that need reliable power systems. You will be contributing to the solution of the world’s growing need for dependable critical infrastructure.

You will make an impact by:

  • The SQM Engineer will lead the supplier quality reporting directly to the SQM Leader.

  • Supplier quality performance, inspections plans, VDA audits, lead measurements requirements, PPAP process owner.

  • This role requires leadership, and motivation skills.

  • SQM area assures the good quality of raw materials used for the production. Implement reduction cost project in the plant.

  • Strategy thinking for supplier development.

  • Digital transformation of the quality systems.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 + Years as a Supplier Quality Engineer in a Manufacturing facility.

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience

  • Proven understanding of SAP

  • 8D methodology

  • Six sigma tools, Core Tools, 8Ds

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with Automatic Transfer Switches

  • Thermoset, thermoplastic, metal stamping,

  • ISO, VDA, APQP, PPAP.

  • Microsoft Office, Minitab, Power BI.

  • The pay range for this position is $96K - $125k per year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
