Minimum/Required Qualifications PhD in Horticulture or related field. Demonstrated ability to contribute to scholarly activity evidenced by publications in refereed journals, books, and/or electronic media. Demonstrated applied research skills. Experience or strong potential to secure external funding for research and/or extension programs. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and cooperate within a team. Demonstrable ability to effectively communicate research findings in writing and verbally to stakeholders, the general public, policymakers, academics, and students. Demonstrated ability or significant potential for excellence in extension teaching other informal education delivery methods. Evidence of a commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Possess or be able to obtain an Oregon Department of Agriculture Pesticide Consultant License within six months of employment and maintain it throughout employment.
