As an Engineering Supervisor at Microwave Products Group - Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will support the military community by planning, organizing, and directing engineering personnel to meet company objectives for new product development, customer support, and the improvement of existing products and processes. Primary Responsibilities of this position include: Manage employee growth through one-on-one, feedback meetings and retrospectives in efforts to improve the team's velocity and quality Monitor for potential impediments to the team and removing the before they become roadblocks Understand key processes and ensuring efficient flow throughout the development cycle Coordinating resources between programs and proposals, working with program management, engineering management, and the PLM to determine priorities Continuous identification and systematic elimination of wastes in the development process Managing internal improvement and support projects Providing guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies Recommending and justifying technology, equipment, and facility improvements Responsible for the following personnel management tasks:Ensuring employee growth and development Ensuring processes are being followed and output is of high quality Mediation of discussions as required Ensuring employee recognition & discipline (including documenting and resolving policy violations and follow-up activity) Reviewing resumes and conducting interviews for open positions in group Ensuring continuity for existing programs when separation occurs Review and authorization of time registration and time clock entries Coordinating PTO, including notification to other managers or pertinent personnel Conducting performance reviews for direct reports which includes:Gathering information/interviews Entering information into review system Conducting review with employee Proposing compensation adjustments Knowledge, skills and abilities strongly preferred include: Must demonstrate a passion for innovation, a knowledge of RF design, and a proven ability to lead teams in an accelerated environment Ability to engage in continuous learning Ability to translate business requirements into actionable engineering tasks Ability to define and communicate critical project criteria to ensure project completion Ability to develop employees who are in leadership and technical roles Technical skills in lean product development techniques, Kaizen, and process improvement Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of disciplines in a dynamic environment Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to communicate within all levels of the organization Requirements Include: Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or uni
