Description:

We are seeking to add a mid level software engineer to the team in a hybrid model (90% remote) to Lead a small 3-4 person group of software engineers and develop software for a radar program called Over the Horizon Radar. This program is currently in a phase where we are going from prototype of the radar and moving the code to production ready status. The Over-the-horizon radar (OTHR) is a type of radar system with the ability to detect targets at very long ranges, typically hundreds to thousands miles, beyond the radar horizon. With the growing threat of long range missiles and unnamed technology, this technology is becoming more and more critical to the safety of our military and country. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: - Lead/Mentor junior software engineers - Program development, testing and integration in, Python, C++, MATLAB - Full cycle development including software maintenance, debugging, testing and development - Development of Python and C++ production code - Porting scientific MATLAB code into C++ and Python

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Required Experience: - Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science. - Five (3)+ years of programming experience in python (numpy) and C++ - Experience with Red Hat Linux - Experience with source management tools (such as GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket). - Familiar with containerization and Docker. - Eligible for a US Secret Clearance Preferred: - Knowledge of DDS, Kubernetes, physics, matrix math, signal processing, or GPU devleopment
