YOUR ROLE

  • Oversee the Graphic Design team as a people manager and senior marketing manager developing and implementing best practices to support operational excellence, manage traffic and asset management projects, and build an effective design team model that will deliver exceptional results

  • Work with the Integrated Marketing, Brand, and Education teams to creatively translate marketing stories into highly creative end products and ensure Kenra Professional’s creative assets tell a story and achieve our overall marketing and brand goals

  • Grow the Graphic Design team’s skillset, support them to accomplish their goals, approach design to align with the strategic goals of Kenra Professional to create best-in-class marketing deliverables

  • Review creative output from Graphic Design team to ensure the work consistently communicates critical messages and key value propositions to achieve business objectives and elevate our brands

  • Work as an integral part of our Integrated Marketing Team and collaborate with our Brand, Education, and Sales teams to understand their needs and then create briefs, actively communicate around priorities, deadlines, and any outstanding questions

  • Manage internal workflow and prioritize to ensure workload level matches allocated creative resources

  • Provide training opportunities and mentorship to develop a future-ready graphic design team

  • Provide best practices, stay abreast of design trends, and encourage creativity on the Graphic Design team

  • Monitor and enforce corporate design standards on design materials. Manage the active upkeep and organization of the asset library on our server, SharePoint, and Syndigo.

YOUR SKILLS

  • 4-7+ years of experience in management, marketing and/or design

  • Bachelor's degree in a management related profession preferred

  • Experience leading and managing a team - must be an effective, results-oriented communicator and leader with a focus on team development

  • Strong capability to work efficiently and independently to maintain high quality in a high-volume department

  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills - must have the ability to balance multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and be able to communicate clearly

  • Familiarity with a project management tool is highly preferred

  • Previous in-house corporate design experience is highly preferred

  • Previous experience within the beauty industry is preferred

  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is required

  • Ability to stay current with technological advances of design, specific to industry standards and best practices and to share and present that knowledge with the larger team

  • Self-motivated approach with the ability to take initiative, but also highly collaborative and works well in a group environment

The salary for this role is $95,000 - $120,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
