This is a customer-service oriented role, requiring prompt and courteous responses to maintenance requests and work orders while strictly following safety standards and guidelines. The maintenance operations technician completes preventive maintenance inspections on building and campus systems, maintaining accurate records. Completes minor carpentry, door, lock, plumbing, electrical, and life safety system repairs. At the direction of the supervisor, the maintenance operations technician also assists other facilities personnel and external vendors in completing assigned work.

[Essential Functions]{#HRSSCHWRK_DESCR100$7lbl}

50% - Complete preventive maintenance inspections and tasks on building systems as assigned through an online work order system, accurately documenting findings and any corrective action taken

25% - Complete minor repairs to building systems as assigned through online work order system

15% - As assigned by the supervisor, assist other facilities personnel in completing maintenance activities

10% - As assigned, perform other related duties appropriate to the grade level of the position

High School Diploma or GED and one year of building maintenance or directly related experience.

There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma or GED.

[Desired Qualifications]{#HRSSCHWRK_DESCR100$9lbl}

1. Two (2) or more years of experience working in a commercial or institutional facilities maintenance role

2. One (1) or more years of experience performing plumbing services including soldering copper pipes, drain repair, troubleshooting and repair of manual and automatic flushometers, and troubleshooting and repair of manual and automatic faucets

3. Experience with troubleshooting and minor repairs of electrical systems such as building lighting and power systems, low-voltage controls, etc.

4. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to troubleshoot and repair commercial building systems

5. Experience at any level with preventive maintenance programs

6. Experience using a computerized maintenance management system

Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver\'s license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving:http://www.maricopa.edu/legal/rmi/vehicle.htm#requirements

Monday Friday, 10:00AM - 6:30PM May be required to work evenings and weekend

Will be required to work at multiple sites or locations
