Project Manager
Location: Aberdeen

Responsible for all day-to-day company activities associated with the projects for the implementation of maintenance, engineering and project support to ensure that all Client and Company’s operational, commercial and HSEQ expectations and targets are met. Project Manager will work with asset specific IM team to plan and execute work.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
COMMERCIAL
Monitor the contract budgets and costs
Resolve any difficulties and their commercial implications.
Oversee the management and the selection and requisition of all plant, equipment and materials on the contract
Ensure optimised deployment and performance of human resources to achieve or exceed performance targets.
Lead negotiations with the Customer where any variations and changes to contract carry commercial implications.
Support commercial and finance departments in the preparation of valuations and invoices and lead the resolution of commercial disputes
CUSTOMER
Customer management liaison.
Oversee the project team in the development of the contract.
Ensure operational plans are generated in conjunction with client requirements
Ensure that all client expectations are delivered
Follow up customer enquiries and demands promptly
Identify and react to shortfalls in customer service
Cultivate and develop good customer relations
LOGISTICS
- Ensure that all client logistics requirements are fully met.
OPS & TECHNICAL
Good working knowledge of core disciplines ie scaffolding, painting, insulation, passive fire protection
Appreciation of specialist disciplines ie LSA, Cleaning, Architectural, abseiling etc
Oversee the planning of the contract and specific workscopes within client systems
Communicate team goals and promote high standards of workmanship and customer service across all contracts
Ensure all activities including those of sub-contractors are managed
Monitor all activities to ensure compliance with relevant HSEQ Procedures, cost and schedule control across all contracts
Ensure provision of technical support to offshore and onshore teams across all disciplines
Attend contract kick-off and review meetings
Ensure all plant and equipment under his control is maintained in a safe working condition
Work with estimating department to optimize tender values and specifications.
Ensure contract files for all customers and project information is raised
SAFETY
Set the culture within the Project Team for HSE behaviours.
Understand the company safety policy requirements, ensuring at all times the works are undertaken and maintained to the highest safety standards
Ensure that all operations are reviewed and planned at a high level to ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements
Promote safe working practices and safety awareness through implementation of the HSEQ Plan, safety campaigns, safety meetings and briefings
Ensure that all equipment and working practices are monitored to ensure compliance
Ensure that company procedures are implemented if safety procedures are breached
Ensure that all hazards are identified and assessed to mitigate risk exposure.
Ensure that all corrective actions from accident / incident investigations / audits are closed out in an expedient manner
PERSONNEL
Liaise with HR Team to assist in recruitment, induction and deployment of personnel
Undertake assessments of team members using appropriate standards of competence
Manage all aspects of Industrial Relations and discipline within the team.
Ensure that all appraisals are conducted for all staff / operatives / supervision under his control in accordance with
Experience & Qualifications
Detailed knowledge of Project work
Possess at least 8 years’ experience in a similar role or a supervisory role(Desirable)
Technical knowledge of company disciplines ie painting, scaffolding, insulation, fire protection. Planning, cost engineering
Preferred Qualification in Project Management(Desirable)
Good written communication and listening skills
Good organisational skills, customer & delivery focused, operational and commercial focus.
Confidence to effectively delegate / man-manage / present
